In no particular order, here are ten highlights from the year gone by! We hope you enjoy the review and we say a massive thank you to all the staff, parents and pupils for making it all possible!

At number 1, the first day we returned to school after 181 days apart! Who would have thought that when we closed on March 12th that we would not return to school for such a long time!
Next up at 2 is the joy of welcoming our new Junior Infants to our school – what a great first year they had!
At 3, our school fundraiser proved to be a great success, raising over €8000 for our school.
Christmas comes in at number 4. The Christmas Concerts and visit from Santa were very special.
While Distance Learning wasn’t what we all wanted, the snow arrived to lift our spirits and Zoom calls definitley helped us feel a little closer together,
giving us our 5th highlight of 2021!
Zoom time!
Our St. Patrick’s Day Parade was viewed over 1000 times on YouTube and is our 6th highlight of the year.
The ‘Second Coming’ in March brought joy to us all as we returned from the second lockdown and what a moment this was! This great picture (bottom left) made the front page of the Tipperary Star, giving us highlight number 7!
The creation of our outdoor area was a definite highlight. Here is number 8!
The award of our 5th Green Flag for Biodiversity gives us our 9th Highlight of the year!
And finally, at 10, it’s Active Week! What a way to finish the year that was 2021!

Graduations and Goodbyes!

Another year comes to an end, and what a year it was! From the joy of returning in September to the disappointment of another school closure in January to the relief and elation of getting to the end made this a year we will remember for many to come.

As ever, the end of the year brings with it the end of a journey for some of our pupils. Our first class boys and sixth class girls will now move on to pastures new. To mark their departure we held two emotional graduation ceremonies which were broadcast live for parents to see. The two events can now be viewed on our YouTube channel. You can also enjoy the videos which were thoughtfully put together by the class teachers Mrs. Margaret Healy and Ms. Laura Ralph.

After the first class graduation, a guard of honour clapped the boys as they walked up the school avenue to their new schools.
