Recently, both our U13 and U11 Camogie teams have taken part in their respective Cumann na mBunscol tournaments.
Our U11 team had a wonderful day out in Durlas Og, recording two wins against Presentation PS Clonmel and Cahir NS.
The first game was extremely close and tense. Both teams defended stoutly and only conceded one score each! Luckily for us, Clonmel scored a point while Emma Egan scored a mighty goal for the girls in wine, securing a 1.0 to 0.1 win for the Pres!
The second game was a little more open and a goal just before half time provided the girls with a springboard to excel in the second half. Five more scores followed to hand our girls a first blitz victory in a good few years! The final score was 4.2 to 1.0.
Next up for the U11 team is a County Semi Final against Powerstown NS on Monday 22nd May in Cashel. We wish them the very best of luck.
Our U13 team played Scoil Angela Thurles and St. Mary’s Nenagh in the Roinn C Blitz. Both games were tight affairs but unfortunately our girls didn’t manage to progress to the next stage of the competition.
