As the curtain comes down on the historic year of 2021, we take stock of all that has been done and all that has been overcome in the past 12 months.
2021 was certainly a challenging year for children and it is only right that we take the opportunity to applaud them and congratulate them on their resilience, positivity and adaptability. In saying that, it important also that we acknowledge that for some pupils, this didn’t come easy and to those children we genuinely say well done on being so brave.
To the staff of our school; teachers, SNAs, our secretary, cleaners, caretaker and bus escort, we say a massive thank you. Thank you for allowing the children the space and time to progress. Thank you for the kind words of encouragement when they were needed. Thank you for spotting the little successes that each child achieved. Thank you for the extra hours you invest in our school. And thank you for doing it all with a smile!
To our parents we say thank you for trusting us with your children during the past year. Considering all that was happening around us we are grateful for your patience, support and encouragement.
The children enjoyed a magical few days in school this week. There was hot chocolate, pyjama parties, pizza, Fitmas, talent shows, carol singing, art, storytelling, dancing and even a visit from the man in the red suit! We also presented our Star Pupil Awards for December. This month the theme was Positivity and Goodwill and unsurprisingly both could be witnessed in abundance throughout the school.
We hope all our boys and girls enjoy a fabulous Christmas. We wish all the parents a peaceful and restful holiday and we look forward to seeing you all again in 2022.
All of this week’s photos can be viewed in the gallery at the end of this post.
