Our soccer teams took to the field this week in the FAI 5-a-side School’s Soccer Tournament in Ballymackey. The girls have been training with Mr. O’Gorman and Mr. Dunne for the past few weeks and were really looking forward to the tournament.
We had two teams playing on the day and they enjoyed games against Scoil Eoin, Carrig NS, Borrisoleigh and Gaelscoil Nenagh.
Both teams played some wonderful soccer and improved as the day progressed. Unfortunately neither team made the final, narrowly missing out on goal difference on one side of the draw.
We thank Mr. O’Gorman, Avril and Mr. Dunne for taking care of the girls on the day….and for treating them to ice-cream on the away home!
