Our junior classes have had a wonderful six weeks taking part in a block of coaching sessions with Sonic Fitness, and it’s safe to say there were plenty of smiles — and somersaults — along the way!

Throughout the programme, the children were introduced to a range of fundamental movement and gymnastics skills in a fun, supportive environment. They practised balance techniques, explored tumbles and rolls, and even began mastering cartwheels and other introductory gymnastics skills. Each session encouraged the children to build confidence in their own abilities while developing coordination, strength, and body awareness.

It was fantastic to see the progress from week to week. Children who were initially cautious quickly grew in confidence, cheering one another on and celebrating their achievements. The sessions also emphasised teamwork, perseverance, and trying something new — all valuable lessons both in and out of the classroom.
We are very grateful to the Sonic Fitness coaches for their energy, encouragement, and expertise over the six weeks. They created an inclusive and enjoyable experience that left a lasting impression on our pupils.
Who knows — perhaps there’s a future Rhys McClenaghan in our midst! At the very least, we’ve sparked a love of movement, activity, and fun that we hope will stay with the children for years to come.
