Our Junior Infant pupils had an absolutely wonderful day on their school tour to Marlhill Farm and Play Area! The excitement was sky-high as the boys and girls hopped on the bus, ready for an adventure. The day was packed with activities that kept everyone smiling. 🏀 A Fantastic Day of Basketball: The Margaret Curran Cup 2025 🏀

Our basketball teams had a superb day recently at the Presentation Sports Complex, taking part in the annual Margaret Curran Cup. Now in its sixth year, this tournament is held in memory of our dear colleague and friend, Margaret Curran, who had a special love for basketball and a huge impact on our school community. This year, we welcomed teams from Scoil Angela, Two Mile Borris, Littleton, Templemore, and Holycross. After a day of thrilling matches, Templemore emerged victorious for the first time. 🎺 Brass in the Class – A Musical Adventure for 4th Class! 🎺

Last week, we had the pleasure of launching an exciting new initiative: Brass in the Class! This programme, funded by the generous support of Thurles Lions Club, will give next year’s 4th class pupils the unique opportunity to explore the world of brass instruments and discover the joy of making music together. We were thrilled to welcome two exceptional music maestros, Liam Daly and Mark Fitzgerald, who shared their talents and passion for music with the students. St. Patrick’s Day Parade 2025

Our annual St. Patrick’s Day School Parade is quickly becoming a much loved tradition and this year we welcomed parents and pupils from Presentation Secondary School along to enjoy the show. The children yet again donned the green, white and orange and enjoyed marching around our beautiful school grounds to mark our National Day. We were joined by the pre-school children from both Busy Bees and Clever Clogs The parade brought joy and smiles to everyone involved and ended with an céilí mór in the school yard afterwards. Volleyball National Finals 2025

Having qualified from the Regional Finals in Kilkenny, our Volleyball team headed to UL Sports Arena for the All Ireland Finals last Friday. It was amazing to be in one of the finest sports arenas in the country and a great experience for the girls. The day began with a meeting of all the teams from around Ireland who were there to compete for the title of All Ireland Champions. Volleyball Regional Finals 2025

Recently our two Volleyball teams, Presentation Pythons and Presentation Panthers, travelled to Kilkenny to take part in the Volleyball Regional Finals. The blitz took place in the impressive venue that is The Watershed. For the past number of weeks over 40 girls have been training after school and during lunchtime to prepare for this competition. The Watershed was a busy venue on the day with schools travelling from Churchhill, Fethard, Kilkenny City and beyond. Chess 2025

Chess has become one of the more popular pastimes in recent times. Much of this is due to the enthusiasm of Ms. Caroline Ryan for the Game. Ms. Ryan started a Chess Club in our school four years ago and it has gone from strength to strength. Recently, 32 player took part in the Ficheall Chess Tournament held in Gaelscoil Bhride. FAI Schools Soccer 2025

Our soccer teams took to the field this week in the FAI 5-a-side School’s Soccer Tournament in Ballymackey. The girls have been training with Mr. O’Gorman and Mr. Dunne for the past few weeks and were really looking forward to the tournament. We had two teams playing on the day and they enjoyed games against Scoil Eoin, Carrig NS, Borrisoleigh and Gaelscoil Nenagh. Both teams played some wonderful soccer and improved as the day progressed. Unfortunately neither team made the final, narrowly missing out on goal difference on one side of the draw.
