U13 Camogie

Our U13 camogie team enjoyed a great day of camogie in Templemore on Tuesday last. The girls got off to a flying start, beating Templemore in the first game. Throughout the day the girls continued to be very competitive but came up short against very strong Newport and Tipperary Town teams. Special thanks to Mr. O’Gorman, Ms. Ralph and Ms. Bohan who prepared the girls so well for the Cumann na mBunscol competitions.

Margaret Curran Cup 2019

Our Basketball team had a superb day in the Presentation Sports Complex on Thursday last as they took part in the inaugural Margaret Curran Cup. Having beaten Holycross and Two Mile Borris, the girls progressed to play Littleton NS in the Cup final in front of a vocal and enthusiastic crowd. Unfortunately the girls came up against a very strong Littleton team and were narrowly beaten, however this was a very special day and one that the girls will remember for as a great day in their primary school lives. Arts Week 2019

Arts Week came to an end today with Roslie Butler taking each class for a creative dance class. The pupils had a wonderful week. They enjoyed Storytime, Drumming, Skipping, Music and Dance. Thanks to Ms. Sheridan for coordinating the week. Thanks also to the Parents’ Council who have contributed €500 to the running of Arts Week 2019.

Buddy Bench Opening Ceremony

It was in the spirit of friendship that the school community of Presentation Primary School gathered in the school yard on Wednesday last to officially open our Buddy Bench which is dedicated to the memory of an esteemed colleague and dear friend , Margaret Curran. This bright and colourful Buddy Bench will provide the pupils of Presentation Primary School with a space to go to should they wish to find a friend to play with or chat to. Fundamental Movement Fun

All classes were treated to a master class in fundamental movement training today as Andy Ryan and a group of transition year students from Thurles CBS set up 6 stations to teach Agility, Balance and Coordination. The pupils really enjoyed being active in the sunshine and hopefully will have developed some crucial fundamental movements skills. Thanks to Andy and the boys from CBS
