What a day to remember! Excitement levels were sky-high as the Liam MacCarthy Cup came through our doors, carried proudly by none other than members of the All-Ireland winning Tipperary hurling team. We were honoured to be joined by Ronan Maher, John McGrath, Conor Bowe, Darragh Stakelum and Cillian Minogue from the U20 team – true heroes in Blue and Gold!
Every single child in the school got the chance to hold the famous cup, and the smiles said it all. To make the moment even more special, our talented 5th Class girls performed “When I Play for the County” on ukuleles, filling the hall with music that perfectly matched the occasion.

Our visitors were put through their paces too, as enthusiastic pupils quizzed them about their heroes, their hurleys, and their memories of that unforgettable All-Ireland final day. Ronan and John shared some inspiring words with the children, reminding everyone that with hard work, passion, and belief, dreams really can come true.
The atmosphere was electric – a mix of pride, joy, and sheer excitement. It was a day that will stay with us all for a very long time. Let’s hope we get to do it all again next year – Up Tipp!
