Throughout September, the girls from 3rd to 6th Class trained together in preparation for the Tipperary Cross Country Championships. Their commitment and hard work were truly rewarded when a record 75 pupils — boys and girls — were selected to represent our school at the event in Thurles Crokes Athletic Field.
The 3rd and 4th Class athletes tackled an 800m course, while the senior pupils from 5th and 6th Class faced the full 1000m. Competing in the Major Schools Section, each race saw up to 100 children on the start line — a real test of stamina and determination.

All that training paid off in style as our runners brought home 8 individual medals, along with Team Gold in the 3rd & 4th Class race and Team Silver in the 5th & 6th Class race. A fantastic achievement for our school community!
Special congratulations to the pupils who secured individual medals. Here is a collection of photos from the day capturing the energy, effort, and excitement.

We are so proud of every pupil who lined up and gave their best. A sincere thank you to the staff for their support and preparation, and to the many parents who joined us in Thurles to cheer on our athletes. The encouragement from the sidelines made the day even more special.
