Highlights 2021-2022

It is always enjoyable, and indeed rewarding, to reflect on all the highlights of the year that was. As they say on TV, ‘In no particular order’, here are some magical moments from last year to whet the appetite for September! Thank you to all the wonderful members of staff who helped create these memories for our children. And well done to all the boys and girls who put themselves out there and share their talents and skills with us each day. See you all on Wednesday, 31st August so we can start making new memories together again!!

Active Week Highlights

Being active is essential to a child’s development. This week we celebrated activity in all its forms and the children had a wonderful week of fun. Active Week is all about trying new things – ball games, athletics, yoga, collaborative games, dance and more. There are more photos further down in the blog.

Galloping Giants and Dancers!

Day 1 of Active Week was a busy one for the boys and girls in the Pres. A Tour of Thurles Fire Station

The boys and girls from Junior Infants visited Thurles Fire Station this week and were treated to a wonderful time full of fun, information and safety tips. Each child experienced the thrill of holding the fire hose, sitting into a fire engine and trying on some of the fire fighter uniforms. We say a sincere thanks to all the crew in Thurles Fire Station who were so kind to each child and so generous with their time. The main reason for the visit was to teach the children some fire safety tips such as ‘Get Out and Stay Out’ if Read more

Cup Champions!

Walking down the school avenue to appaulse from a Guard of Honour from the whole school, with the Division 2 LGFA Football Cup, will surely be one of the memories that joint captains Anna Crawford and Paulina Kwapinske will recall when preparing for their graduation ceremony in two weeks time. The annual LGFA Football tournament took place in Dr. Morris Park on Wednesday last. The girls from the Presentation were placed in a very competitive Division 2 League where they would face Templemore, St. Michael’s Tipperary Town and Newport NS. The first game against St. Joseph’s Templemore was tough from Read more
