Christmas Shoebox Appeal

There was an amazing response to the TeamHope Christmas Shoebox Appeal again this year with 120 boxes being donated to support this wonderful cause. Mr. Healy explained as the children’s assembly what could and could not go into the shoeboxes. We hope that these gifts bring a smile to the faces of some children on Christmas morning. Thanks to all the parents who donated and supported TeamHope this year. Our After School Activities continued this week. The children are loving being back at Cookery while our new STEM Club and the Monday Funday Club are a real hit too! Our Read more

Happy Halloween

After a busy Maths Week, the children enjoyed a very ‘Fancy Dress Friday’ as we celebrated the Halloween Break. Ghouls and Goblins, Witches and Wizards, Minions and Marshmallows wandered through the school in a blaze of colour and smiles! The children really enjoyed the novility of leaving the uniform at home and expressing themselves in costumes, facepaint and wigs! Our Parents’ Council organised an art competition to celebrate Halloween and on Friday, Chairperson Fiona Connors presented smashing prizes to the winning entrants. Well done to all the boys and girls who did some wonderful artwork for this competition and thank Read more

Maths & More!

This week we celebrated Maths Week. The children enjoyed a different Maths challenge each day. I must say a huge thank you to our wonderful team here in the Pres who worked so hard all week to bring Maths to life in a fun and interactive way. Pupils also enjoyed Maths Trails, Bingo and a Maths Quiz. We hope the week helped the boys and girls to see Maths in a fun and real way. Perhaps at home you can ask your child to use their Maths Eyes to see numbers, shapes, times and measure all around your home. Here Read more

Green Flag Ceremony

We felt very proud today as we were presented with our 5th Green Flag from Green Schools Ireland at an online awards ceremony. The Green Schools Committee gathered in the hall, along with coordinators Ms. Everard and Ms Laura Ralph, to watch the online event. We were one of only 3 schools from Tipperary to receive a Green Flag for Biodiversity this year. Well done to all the committee members, to the coordinators and indeed the whole school community who worked so hard over the past two years to achieve this flag.

Star Pupils 🌟

Each month we award Star Pupil Awards to children who make an extra special effort in a variety of different topics. This month the award was for Kindness and Manners. Next month is Sports and Activity. Later in the year we will celebrate Creativity, Friendship, Maths, Irish and Goodwill. Here are the Star Pupils for September.

September Smiles

Thankfully the sun has been shining since our return to school and this has certainly helped us settle back in to school life. The pupils have enjoyed getting out and about as we observed the gentle changing of the seasons on our school grounds. The summer flowers are leaving and the autumn leaves are beginning to show. Here are some pictures on Ms. Sheridan’s class enjoying some work back in the classroom. Junior Infants are now well settled into life in the Presentation. The 44 Junior Infants happily join their line each morning and are working hard in the classroom Read more

Welcome Junior Infants

The first day of school is always a special memory for pupils and their families. It is also a very special morning for school staff and this year was no exception. This year we welcomed 51 new pupils to our school. 44 of those started in Junior Infants and we welcome them all to the Presentation. Despite the continued Covid restrictions this week was calm and full of fun. We are very lucky to have such a wonderful staff who prepared our school so well for the re-opening. We especially thank Kieran Britton, Joan Connors and Fiona Connors for having Read more
