In no particular order, here are ten highlights from the year gone by! We hope you enjoy the review and we say a massive thank you to all the staff, parents and pupils for making it all possible!

Another year comes to an end, and what a year it was! From the joy of returning in September to the disappointment of another school closure in January to the relief and elation of getting to the end made this a year we will remember for many to come. As ever, the end of the year brings with it the end of a journey for some of our pupils. Our first class boys and sixth class girls will now move on to pastures new. To mark their departure we held two emotional graduation ceremonies which were broadcast live for parents Read more

Active Week 2021 proved to be one of the best weeks we have been able to enjoy in a long time. As the sun shined throughout the week, the children gladly enjoyed a wonderful week of fun and activity. Sports Day marked the end of the week and what a day it was. Each class worked their way around the school to the various activities. There was a water relay, obstacle course, team challenges, novelty races and more. After lunch the children were surprised at the arrival of an ice-cream van! The day ended with the staff taking on the Read more

Over 60 girls from 3rd to 6th class took part in the annual School Footbal League today. Six teams, named after the six counties of Munster, played great football for nearly two hours on the beautiful astro turf at the back of our school. We thank the secondary school for the use of this facility. Each team played each other before competing in three different finals. The A final saw Waterford take on Tipperary. Only a goal separated the sides in the end with Tipperary coming out on top. We say thank you to all the teachers and SNAs who Read more

This week the infant pupils enjoyed a Biodiversity Walk as part of our Green Flag Programme. As well as having some beautiful grounds around our own school, we also have the priviledge of having access to the Presentation Convent Garden. Here the pupils found some beautiful flowers and observed mini-beasts living within the garden. Some of the photos are just beautiful!

Here are dozens of photos of the fun that was had on the bouncy castle on Tuesday!

First class enjoyed a Soccer League today as part of Active Week. Ms. Ralph organised the boys and girls into four teams and each played three very competitive games. In the end the grenn team came out on top in a tight final game which was won by a single goal. Well done to all the boys and girls who took part!

The girls from second class enjoyed a Basketball Blitz as part of Active Week. Ms. Gleeson organised the girls into four very competitive teams. There were some wonderful skills on display and the girls really had great fun. We hope that this experience will encourage some of the girls to join their local basketball club. In the end it was the red team who came out on top, winning the final on a scoreline of 10 to 6. Well done to everyone for taking part and for showing great sportsmanship.
